Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Legal Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic legal and finance team. Duties Process accounts payable and receivable transactions using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, ensuring timely and accurate entries Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial data in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and legal standards Manage journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records Handle confidential legal and financial information with the utmost discretion and security Assist with budgeting, credit analysis, and financial data analysis using Excel data analysis tools and accounting systems like Workday, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian Support compliance efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and governmental accounting requirements Maintain detailed documentation of all accounting activities, including audit trails for internal or external reviews Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting practices Proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian or similar platforms Experience with data entry, account reconciliation, bookkeeping, and balance sheet management Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to perform complex math calculations accurately Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable management and credit analysis processes Ability to analyze financial data using spreadsheets and accounting systems for insights into account activity and discrepancies Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling sensitive or confidential information Effective communication skills for customer service interactions within internal teams or external vendors

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
