is a general practice law firm based in Greater Cincinnati. The firm handles a broad spectrum of legal matters, including family law (divorce, custody, child support), estate planning and administration, business formation, and contract and lease negotiation. The firm is looking for an attorney whose primary practice area would be family law (divorce, dissolution, child support, child custody) with an option to develop skills in other practice areas. Role Description The Associate Attorney is a full-time, on-site role located in Symmes Township, OH. This position involves managing a caseload of primarily family law matters, but may involve estate matters, business formation, contract and lease negotiation, and criminal defense as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents, and providing clear, actionable legal advice to clients. The Associate Attorney will appear in court and at administrative proceedings, negotiate on behalf of clients, and collaborate with colleagues to develop effective case strategies. The role also includes maintaining accurate case files, communicating regularly with clients, and supporting the firm's commitment to efficient, client-centered service. The ideal candidate will possess the following: A passion for working on sensitive legal issues such as divorce, dissolution, child abuse, child custody, child support, and domestic violence Ability to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively in emotional and high-stress situations Excellent written and oral communication skills Extremely professional demeanor, in person and on the telephone Strict attention to detail Reliable transportation Ability to interact with Court personnel Ability to effectively multi-task Excellent advocacy skills Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think of creative solutions Position requirements include the following:- JD and Ohio Bar Exam results indicating passage;
- Willingness to litigate and appear in court on behalf of clients;
- Ability to manage a full caseload, with an emphasis on organization and ability to prioritize tasks;
- Minimum of 110 billable hours required per month;
- Notary Public Certification, or willingness to quickly test for and obtain; Selected Candidate will learn the following skills:
- Ability to help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
- Ability to divide marital assets, including real estate & retirement accounts for high-net-worth cases & resolve complex property issues
- Ability to test for Family Law Certification, when eligible
- Effectively litigate and advocate for clients when attending court proceedings
- Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases Benefits and Perks of Position include:
