Overview Join our esteemed legal team as a Judicial Assistant/Law Clerk, where you'll play a vital role in supporting judicial operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of court proceedings. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research using databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support judicial decisions and case management. Assist judges with case review, document analysis, and preparation for court proceedings. Draft, review, and edit legal documents including memoranda, orders, opinions, and procedural filings with precision and clarity. Manage confidential information with the utmost discretion, adhering to professional ethics and privacy standards. Support courtroom procedures by organizing case files, preparing exhibits, and coordinating schedules for hearings and trials. Analyze legal issues related to all areas of the law to provide accurate summaries for judicial review. Conduct procedural law research to ensure compliance with court rules and regulations across diverse jurisdictions. Requirements JD or Paralegal experience or prior work supporting attorneys or judges in a legal setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of legal citations; proofreading skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in legal research databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with legal terminology is essential. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and conducting thorough legal analysis. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information responsibly while maintaining professional ethics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for document preparation, correspondence, and record-keeping. Ability to juggle multiple tasks. Experience with legal research strategies using platforms like LexisNexis or Westlaw to gather pertinent case law and statutes.
