August 4th, 2026 Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Leadership, Communications, Government, or a closely related field. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible executive administrative experience supporting senior executives in a local government or public-sector organization. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: budget administration, grant management, procurement, payroll coordination, human resources administration, or executive project management. Experience coordinating executive meetings, advisory boards, committees, or community stakeholder groups is required Valid South Carolina driver's license The Executive Coordinator to the Chief of Police serves as the principal executive support professional for the Office of the Chief and performs highly responsible, confidential, and complex administrative, financial, and organizational management functions. This position provides executive-level coordination for departmental operations, strategic initiatives, community engagement programs, grants administration, budget oversight, personnel administration, and executive communications. The Executive Coordinator serves as a trusted advisor and liaison between the Chief of Police, City Administration, elected officials, department personnel, community stakeholders, nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and the public while ensuring the efficient operation of the Office of the Chief. This position requires exceptional judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments in a fast-paced executive environment.
