The City of Franklin is seeking candidates for the position of Police Chief. The Chief of Police is the administrative leader of the department serving under the direction of the Mayor. This position is that of a working chief who is willing and capable of assisting in all activities of the department. The Police Chief is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting for all aspects of the police department. The new Police Chief we are seeking must be a proven leader who works foremost with integrity and accountability, values community engagement, has strong communication skills, understands the importance of fiscal responsibility and a commitment to officer development and wellness.

Qualifications:

Texas Master Peace Officer in good standing with the TCOLE. at least 10 years law enforcement experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience. Experience as Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, or equivalent command officer preferred.
