Round Rock ISD Police Department Round Rock ISD is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to lead our district police department as the Chief of Police. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned law enforcement leader to make a significant impact on the safety and security of our students, staff, and community. About the
Role:
As the Chief of Police, you will direct and manage the operations of the Round Rock ISD Police Department, ensuring the safety and security of 56 campuses and 14 special facilities within our 110-square mile district. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining a secure environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential. You will coordinate daily operations, enforce federal, state, and local laws, and advocate for equitable and unbiased student interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the district police department. Oversee daily operations to ensure a safe environment for students and staff. Enforce all applicable laws and ordinances. Promote equitable and unbiased student advocacy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid and current Texas Peace Officer license issued by TCOLE. At least five years of related law enforcement experience, including three years in a supervisory or command role. Ability to meet district vehicle liability policy requirements. Current Texas driver's license; bondable as required by Texas Education Code 37.081(h). Why Round Rock ISD?
