Job Description
Serve as the District's senior law enforcement administrator and provide executive leadership for
the authorization and operation of the Yantis ISD Police Department. Working under the
direction of the Superintendent and in coordination with the Board of Trustees, legal counsel,
TCOLE, and local law enforcement partners, the Police Chief will implement a professional,
student-centered, legally compliant school district police department. The Police Chief will
direct all department operations and will remain accountable to and report directly to the
Superintendent. Patrols district property to protect all students, personnel, and visitors from
physical harm and prevent property loss due to theft or vandalism. Ability to work
independently. Expansion of law enforcement duties may include developing and teaching law
enforcement courses at Yantis High School.
