Location 200 Franklin Parkway San Mateo, 94403 Description The City of San Mateo Police Department is looking for highly qualified, experienced police officers to join our team! As an incentive, those hired meeting the criteria, could be eligible for a $30,000 hiring bonus. Do you have what it takes to join our team? This is continuous recruitment A Lateral Candidate must: a) Be currently an active police officer. b) Possess a California Basic POST Course Certificate. A copy of your certificate with your application is required in order for you to continue with the process. c) Have at least 3 years equivalent of CA Law Enforcement experience to patrol services with a municipality. d) Attach a résumé to your application packet. Those applicants meeting the minimum qualifications and have submitted the required documentation, will be added to the eligible list. The Position:
Police Officers perform law enforcement and crime prevention work; control traffic flow and enforce state and local regulations; perform investigative work; participate in and provide support and assistance to special department crime prevention and enforcement programs and do related police work as assigned. Duties and hours will vary with assignments.
