STARTING SALARY
$33,496.45 The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer in the Police Department. Applicant must meet the minimum standards and training as specified in the Florida Statutes and be certified by the State of Florida. Certified Law Enforcement Officer's (LEO) starting annual base salary is $33,496.45. LEO'S will receive $600.00 annual clothing allowance and are eligible for $180.00 annual gym reimbursement. All LEO'S are eligible for additional salary incentives through Union contract and FDLE. Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with good moral character and background. Successful applicant must have a valid Florida driver's license and will be required to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen. Non-certified applicants may apply to be considered as a sponsorship applicant who will be sponsored by the City of Lake City to attend the Law Enforcement Academy to receive standards and training as specified in the Florida Statutes and to be certified by the State of Florida; if funding exists.
