Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Assists in measuring the effectiveness of public safety operations in the delivery of routine and emergency response services. Maintains and submits weekly, monthly and annual report. Assist with coordination the day-to-day operations of campus officers. Assist with Monitoring the activities of personnel to ensure compliance with TCSG policy and department procedures. Develops and/or assists with the development of policies and procedures and recommends changes to effectively meet the goals and requirements of the agency. Interprets and applies state and federal rules, regulations, policies, and legislation as they apply to campus police and security operations. Provides for the safety and security of students, staff, faculty, administrators, visitors, and property. Maintains knowledge of assigned program area and gives updates to management on service, operations, and projects. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact department initiatives. Provides advice concerning appropriate law enforcement response to incidents and violations of law. Attends meetings with local law enforcement and emergency management personnel. Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Manage and maintain state certification standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree

• and• Three (3) years of experience in law enforcement •OR• Five years' experience in law enforcement.

P.O.S.T certification.

Certified Preferred Qualifications:

Certified P.O.S.T instructor. Associate degree or higher in a related field. Experience in a post-secondary environment. Knowledge of ICS, NIMS, and standardized emergency management systems. Knowledge of the Clery Act, Title IX, and related federal mandates postsecondary institutions.
