The Ellsworth Police Department offers a schedule of 12-hour shifts (Panama shift schedule) with built-in overtime every other week and every other weekend off. The City of Ellsworth offers the Maine State Retirement 2C plan for Police Officers. Officers are eligible to retire at 50% pay of their top highest three years. Overtime opportunities will allow for significantly increased earning potential. There is no age limit to withdraw and for every year you remain vested after 25, you add 2%.
