Job Description

Town Of Freeport Maine Police Department Police Officer Job Announcement The Town of Freeport is accepting applications for opening(s) for the position of police officer Law enforcement is one of the few remaining career paths that offers a high level of long-term security and comprehensive benefits.
Retirement:
We offer a 25-year retirement plan. This allows officers to retire with a guaranteed monthly lifetime income much earlier than in the private sector. Say you're 23 years old, you put in a career of 25 years, that puts you at 48 years old. You retire and receive your pension check each month for the rest of your life.
Comprehensive Health Coverage:
We offer a robust medical, dental, and vision insurance for officers and their families.
Paid Training:
we pay you a full salary while you attend the police academy, complete field training, and all training for your career.
Overtime & Detail Pay:
You will have the ability to significantly increase your base salary through overtime shifts or "special details". $30.12/hour no experience Top pay $39.84/hour The job is rarely stagnant. Once an officer completes their initial patrol phase, the "career within a career" begins.
Diverse Specializations:
You aren't locked into one role. You can transition into specialized units such as Criminal Investigations (Detectives) , K-9 Handling , or School Resource Officers .
