The Kennebunkport Police Department is seeking experienced, community-minded police officers to join our team. What We Offer Starting pay of $39.77/hour Lateral entry up to $43.90/hour with 20 years of recognized experience Prior law-enforcement experience credited toward vacation accrual — up to 20 years $5,000 recruitment bonus for up to 5 years of service, $15,000 recruitment bonus for 5+ years of service. Eligible lateral officers may receive credit for up to 20 years of prior law-enforcement experience for both wage placement and vacation accrual. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must be at least 21 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED; possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Maine driver's license; and meet applicable Maine Criminal Justice Academy certification and pre-service requirements. Successful candidates must complete the Town's selection process, which includes an oral board, background investigation, medical examination, drug screening, psychological examination, and other applicable requirements.
