Job Description

Milton Township Mahoning County, Ohio is seeking to hire for the position of full time police officer. Job duties include enforcement of state and local law ordinances, conducting criminal and non-criminal investigations, apprehension of criminals, patrolling the township on an assigned shift, investigation of traffic accidents, securing scenes, and responding to a wide range of citizen needs such as domestic disputes, alarm drops, rescue efforts, etc. Eight-hour shifts starting at $25.50/hr with township-paid health, vision & dental options and retirement through OPERS & Deferred Comp. Uniform allowance provided as well as paid training all year round.
General requirements:
Candidates must have a valid and current OPOTA Certification, high school diploma or GED, and possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license. New applicants will need to pass a fitness test if they have been out of the academy for a year.
