Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Police Officers for the Village of Mount Eaton. This role is essential in maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and providing assistance to the community. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, and engaging with the public to foster trust and cooperation. Responsibilities Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity. Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents. Conduct thorough investigations of crimes and incidents, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Write detailed reports documenting incidents, investigations, and actions taken. Enforce laws and regulations while ensuring the rights of individuals are respected. Provide first aid and emergency assistance when necessary. Engage with community members to build relationships and promote public safety initiatives. Handle animal-related incidents with care and professionalism. Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on criminal investigations as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related fields is a plus. Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks, and drug screenings. Strong communication skills for effective report writing and community interaction. Knowledge of criminal investigation techniques and immigration law is advantageous. Experience preferred, but not necessary. On job training offered. Flexible schedules.
