We are Looking for Our Next Police Officer The City of Philomath has a rare opportunity to work for one of the best small agencies in Oregon. The Accredited Philomath Police Department is seeking a motivated, dedicated individual to join our team as an Entry Level or Lateral Police Officer. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful career while making a positive impact on the safety and quality of life in our community. Philomath Police Officers work a highly sought after 4/12 schedule with 4 days on and 4 days off . Please note that this recruitment may close at any time after the first review date. Salary & Incentive Pay Base hourly pay July 1, 2026
  • June 30, 2027: $32.13 entry to $43.05, base (without additional cert pay). Step increases are 5%. Next two contract years will have 4% raises. Laterals are started at a step concurrent with experience. Lateral pay range averages $36.84
  • $46.50 (with additional certification pay included) The following will be applied to base salary upon hire as applicable/assigned: 8% incentive pay for Advanced DPSST Certification 4% incentive pay for Intermediate DPSST Certification 3%
  • 6% longevity pay (at 10 years and 15 years) 2%
  • 4% incentive pay for each Special Assignment (multiple allowed) 1% incentive pay for Bilingual Spanish or American Sign Language 1% incentive pay for Bachelor's Degree (in any field of study) All Officers receive annual fitness incentive pay
