Job Description
Enhance the quality of life in Eau Claire by partnering with the community to solve problems, reduce crime and disorder, safeguard individual rights, and improve public safety. Join the City of Eau Claire's Police Department! We are now accepting applications for current Police Officer openings and a hiring eligibility list. Now accepting lateral transfers!
Requirements:
Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.) Possess a minimum of 60 post high school semester credits OR must have three (3) years full-time employment or military experience and obtain 60 post high school semester credits within five (5) years of appointment Possess and maintain a valid driver's license Be a U.S. Citizen Be at least 18 years old Have no felony convictions on record Applicants must successfully pass each of the following components: written examination, physical agility test, oral interview, polygraph examination, and psychological evaluation.Salary Range:
$33.90- to $42.08
- per hour ($68,057.26 to $84,483.83 annually), plus excellent fringe benefits.
- Cadet rate - $27.26, payable during initial Police Academy attendance, if applicable
- Available after a minimum of twenty (20) years of service
