ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
The Clark Law Office, LLC is growing, and we are looking to add an Associate Attorney to our team in the Prattville area. This is a full-time, salaried position with opportunities for salary increases and additional compensation based on performance, productivity, and growth within the firm. Our practice is primarily focused on family law, including divorce, custody, child support, juvenile matters, and related litigation. However, we are open to an associate developing and maintaining a practice in other areas, particularly criminal defense and probate matters.
What We're Looking For:
An attorney licensed to practice law in Alabama, or a recent law school graduate awaiting Alabama Bar results Strong written and oral communication skills Someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing deadlines A willingness to learn and develop courtroom and litigation skills The ability to work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner Someone who wants to grow with a small and busy law practice
The Position:
The associate will work closely with an experienced family-law attorney while developing their own caseload. Responsibilities will include client meetings, drafting pleadings and discovery, legal research, negotiations, court appearances, trial preparation, and responsibility for assigned cases. Family-law experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. New attorneys are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Growth:
This is a salaried position. The firm intends for this to be a position with meaningful opportunities for advancement. Raises and additional compensation will be tied to performance, productivity, collected billable work, and increased responsibility within the firm. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a first legal job—we would like to find an attorney who wants to develop their skills, build a practice, and grow with our office long-term.
