Bilingual Personal Injury Intake Specialist About Scranton Law Firm Scranton Law Firm, founded over 50 years ago, is a plaintiff personal injury firm dedicated to helping people who have been injured through no fault of their own. We handle cases involving car accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death, and other personal injury matters.
Our goal is simple:
provide compassionate service, strong legal representation, and the best possible results for our clients. The Position We are looking for an energetic, organized, and people-focused Bilingual Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for potential clients. Fluent Spanish and English are required for this position. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication skills, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to make people feel heard and supported. You will handle incoming calls and website inquiries, gather important information about potential cases, and work closely with our legal team to determine the appropriate next steps. What You will Do Answer incoming calls and respond to potential clients in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. Handle live calls whenever possible rather than simply taking messages. Return messages and follow up promptly so potential opportunities are not missed. Conduct initial intake conversations and gather accurate information about the potential client's situation. Ask thoughtful questions to understand the basic facts of a potential case, including: Type of incident Date and time of the incident Location of the incident Whether the incident occurred in California Whether medical treatment was received Current treatment status Other information needed by the legal team Document information accurately and completely in the firm's systems. Recognize potential cases that require additional review and appropriately route them to a Legal Assistant. Work closely with Legal Assistants and attorneys to ensure potential clients receive timely follow-up. Provide a professional and compassionate experience to every caller, even when the firm is unable to accept their case. Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive personal information. Help ensure no potential client or inquiry falls through the cracks. What We are Looking For Fluent Spanish and English — required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Warm, professional, and confident telephone manner. Strong listening skills and the ability to ask thoughtful follow-up questions. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Able to prioritize and manage multiple calls, messages, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player. Good judgment and the ability to recognize when something needs to be escalated. Professional and compassionate when dealing with people who may be injured, stressed, or overwhelmed. Comfortable learning and using phone, case-management, and office technology. Prior legal, personal injury, intake, call-center, or customer-service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
