Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar and have at least 2+ years of insurance coverage or insurance bad faith litigation experience. Job Description Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions in state and federal court. Analyze insurance policies, claims files, and adjuster conduct to identify bad faith exposure. Conduct and defend depositions involving insureds, adjusters, underwriters, and expert witnesses. Participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Research and analyze California insurance law and coverage issues. Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and litigation support professionals to develop case strategy. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel. Manage deadlines and multiple active litigation matters in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Active California Bar license in good standing. 2+ years of insurance coverage or insurance bad faith litigation experience. Strong knowledge of California insurance law. Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and California Code of Civil Procedure. Experience handling first-party and/or third-party insurance claims and coverage analysis. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative litigation team.
