Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate

Currently the firm is seeking to hire a mid-level associate (3+ years) to join a thriving commercial litigation practice in Los Angeles
•handling high-stakes consumer class actions, complex business disputes, and trademark and trade secret matters for sophisticated clients.
What you'll doDraft and argue contested motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, preliminary injunctions, and class certification briefingTake and defend depositions in complex, multi-party matters
•Propound and respond to written discovery, managing the full discovery lifecycleConduct independent legal research and produce client-ready written work product with minimal supervisionManage discrete case workstreams, coordinating with partners, clients, and opposing counsel
•Contribute to consumer class action defense and plaintiff-side business litigation across multiple industriesDevelop client relationships and support business development as part of a collegial, collaborative teamWhat you needJ.D. and active membership (or pending admission) in the California State BarMinimum 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm, with hands-on responsibility for pleadings and contested motions
•Demonstrated excellence in legal writing and oral advocacyAbility to manage multiple matters independently and meet client-driven deadlinesNice to have
•Federal or state judicial clerkshipExperience in consumer class actions, trade secret litigation, or trademark disputesBackground in complex or multi-district litigationInterest in building a long-term practice with mentorship and client development opportunitiesBenefitsPay & benefits
Salary:
$255,000
•330,000 ; actual pay based on experience, education, and other lawful factors.
Bonus:
Eligible for performance bonus.
