DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Our exciting and fast-paced downtown Oakland law firm is looking for an Associate Attorney who holds a Florida State Bar license and has at least two years of civil litigation experience to represent clients in legal matters. Partnership opportunities are also available. The duties of the Associate Attorney are to represent clients in legal matters either independently or under the supervision of one or more shareholders or a senior associate, including: Provides effective legal consultation, services and advice to clients. Represents clients in state and federal court and agency litigation/proceedings, at a level consistent with his or her level of experience. Prepares legal documents (e.g., memoranda, legal briefs, opinion letters and/or general correspondence). Enjoys formulating strategies, acquiring and maintaining leadership roles in national litigation scenarios. Maintains excellent working knowledge of substantive law, state and federal judicial systems, including local court rules and procedures. Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, decision-makers, consultants and counsel. Meets deadlines and effectively responds to client, office and court needs, sometimes on short notice. Researches and analyzes legal issues and formulates creative responses.

$150,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
