A well-established Northern California law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing practice representing employers in a wide range of employment law matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who enjoys litigation, client interaction, and working alongside experienced employment defense attorneys.
About the OpportunityThe firm represents businesses of all sizes in employment and business-related litigation matters. Attorneys work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and colleagues on sophisticated employment disputes within a collaborative team environment.
The practice includes defense of claims involving:
Employment discriminationHarassmentRetaliationWrongful terminationWage and hour disputesEmployee classification issuesOther workplace-related litigation mattersResponsibilitiesManage employment litigation matters from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memorandaConduct legal research and analysisTake and defend depositionsAttend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferencesCommunicate directly with clients and insurance carriersAssist with trial preparation and strategy developmentCollaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable outcomesQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State Bar2+ years of litigation experience preferredEmployment litigation experience strongly preferredExcellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skillsStrong organizational and case management abilitiesAbility to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environmentOutstanding interpersonal and client communication skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesComprehensive medical benefitsPaid time off and firm holidays401(k) retirement programOngoing mentorship and professional development opportunitiesWhy Consider This Opportunity?
