Westlake Village, CA (On-Site) Are you looking for a plaintiff-side practice where you can make a meaningful impact without sacrificing your work-life balance? We are seeking a motivated California Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our collaborative team representing injured workers throughout California. This position offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload while working alongside experienced legal professionals in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Job Expectations Manage a caseload of California applicant workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution. Represent injured workers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB), including hearings, mandatory settlement conferences, status conferences, trials, and depositions. Develop case strategies and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process. Negotiate settlements that achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Draft pleadings, petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents. Review and analyze medical records, expert reports, and employment records. Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing guidance and updates throughout their cases. Collaborate with attorneys, hearing representatives, and legal support staff to deliver exceptional client service. Stay current on California workers' compensation laws, regulations, and case developments. Qualifications Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar. Experience handling California applicant workers' compensation matters preferred. Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and litigation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage an active caseload. Client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing compassionate and effective legal representation.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
