About the Position Vivus Counseling Services is seeking a Forensic Counselor to join our growing, mission-driven clinical team. This role is ideal for a clinician committed to ethical forensic practice, domestic violence intervention, and delivering care that upholds client dignity—even within court-involved systems. Situated in Pueblo, you will be working in person, together with the team. The position offers a balanced blend of forensic evaluation and therapeutic group work, supporting individuals and families navigating complex legal, relational, and trauma-related circumstances. Clinicians work within a supportive, collaborative, and clinically grounded environment that values accountability, compassion, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities Conduct forensic evaluations for criminal and dependency & neglect (D&N) cases in alignment with court standards and agency best practices. Facilitate domestic violence treatment groups using trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally responsive approaches. Develop clear, comprehensive, and well-reasoned forensic and clinical reports. Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical documentation. Participate in ongoing supervision and consultation with the Executive Director/Clinical Supervisor. Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals through staffings and interdisciplinary discussions. Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory guidelines (DVOMB, DORA). Engage in professional development opportunities, including observation of court proceedings or professional meetings when appropriate. Qualifications Must reside in Pueblo or nearby and have a DORA License Licensed or license-eligible with DORA (LPC, LPCC, LMFT, or equivalent). DVOMB-approved provider preferred. If not DVOMB-approved, the agency provides free supervision and full support toward certification. Excellent writing skills with a genuine interest in forensic and clinical report writing. Strong appreciation for group counseling and meaningful client engagement. Ability to maintain approximately 32 hours of direct client services per week, with 8 paid hours dedicated to writing and documentation. Prior experience in forensic, court-adjacent, or clinical settings preferred but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive an additional $2/hour if hourly compensation is selected.
