Serve as the company's primary legal counsel and handle day-to-day legal matters Advise owners, shareholders, and management on legal and business matters Manage corporate governance, shareholder agreements, ownership changes, resolutions, and corporate records Review, draft, and negotiate business contracts and agreements Review and negotiate restaurant leases, renewals, amendments, and landlord matters Lead legal matters related to new locations, expansion, acquisitions, and business transactions Lead legal preparation and compliance for franchising, including FDDs, franchise agreements, and franchisee documentation Review vendor, supplier, equipment, technology, construction, contractor, and service agreements Handle employment agreements, employee policies, wage/tip issues, and other employment-law matters Manage trademarks, branding, intellectual property, and licensing matters Review marketing, advertising, website, online ordering, privacy, and customer-facing agreements Monitor business licenses, permits, liquor licensing, and restaurant regulatory compliance Review insurance requirements and manage legal risk Handle customer, vendor, landlord, employee, and other business disputes and legal claims Respond to demand letters, legal notices, and regulatory inquiries Review financing, loans, guarantees, and investment documents Manage legal due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and major transactions Maintain legal records, contracts, templates, renewals, and important deadlines Identify legal risks and advise management before major decisions or agreements Coordinate with specialized outside counsel when matters require additional expertise Keep management informed of material legal and regulatory developments Establish and maintain legal processes, policies, and documentation as the company grows

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
