Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to manage a litigation caseload from filing through verdict. The ideal candidate has a proven track record handling complex personal injury matters, taking and defending depositions, arguing substantive motions, attending mediations, and serving as first-chair or second-chair trial counsel. Must be bilingual and can speak both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities Manage a litigation caseload from inception through settlement, trial, and post-trial proceedings. Serve as lead counsel on litigated personal injury matters. Develop and execute strategic litigation and trial plans. Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives. Prepare clients, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses for deposition, mediation, and trial. Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions for summary judgment and motions in limine. Attend and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Conduct jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and closing arguments. Work closely with medical experts, accident reconstructionists, economists, life care planners, and other expert witnesses. Evaluate settlement opportunities while preparing every case as if it will proceed to trial. Ensure compliance with Florida Bar rules, court procedures, and ethical standards. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar. 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience preferred. Demonstrated first-chair or second-chair jury trial experience. Significant experience handling depositions, mediations, and contested hearings. Strong knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures, evidence rules, and personal injury law. Proven track record of obtaining favorable settlements, verdicts, and case resolutions. Exceptional written and oral advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom presentation skills. Ability to independently manage a high-volume litigation caseload. Excellent organizational and case management abilities. Required Qualifications Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Experience managing high-value and complex litigation matters. Experience handling catastrophic injury, trucking accidents, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury cases. Multiple jury trials to verdict.
