We are seeking an experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) Plaintiff Personal Injury Legal Settlement & Closing Specialist who has a proven track record of independently managing the settlement and reductions process from assignment through final disbursement. The ideal candidate is a skilled negotiator who understands how to maximize client recoveries while delivering an exceptional client experience.
This is a high-volume, production-driven role for a professional who takes ownership, communicates confidently with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and lienholders, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accountability, efficiency, and measurable results are expected. Job DescriptionAs a Legal Settlement & Closing Specialist, you will independently manage the settlement reductions process for plaintiff personal injury cases from assignment through final disbursement.
You will negotiate hospital and provider balances, prepare and review settlement documentation, coordinate with medical providers and insurance companies, and ensure every case moves efficiently toward resolution while maximizing client recovery.
Success in this role requires strong negotiation skills, accountability, urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload.
This position is 100% onsite in our Miami Lakes office.
What You'll DoSettlement ReductionsIndependently manage reductions from assignment through final resolution.
Negotiate hospital liens and medical provider balances.
Negotiate reductions with healthcare providers, lienholders, and insurance companies.
Apply effective negotiation strategies to maximize client recoveries.
Monitor reduction timelines and proactively resolve delays.
Settlement ClosingsPrepare and/or review settlement statements and closing documentation.
Verify settlement calculations and disbursement accuracy.
Coordinate final settlement processing.
Ensure all documentation is complete before disbursement.
Case ManagementCoordinate with clients, attorneys, providers, insurance carriers, and lienholders.
Obtain and review medical bills, records, and lien documentation.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Litify.
Prioritize workflow to ensure timely case progression.
Client ServiceProvide proactive updates throughout the settlement process.
Deliver exceptional client service during the final stage of representation.
Resolve client questions professionally and efficiently.
Performance ExpectationsSuccess in this role will be measured by your ability to:
Independently manage a high-volume reductions pipeline.
Negotiate hospital and provider reductions that maximize client recoveries.
Meet or exceed departmental KPIs.
Maintain efficient turnaround times.
Produce accurate settlement statements and disbursement documents.
Manage competing priorities without sacrificing quality.
Demonstrate accountability and ownership from intake through resolution.
Effectively manage backlogs while keeping cases progressing.
Deliver exceptional client communication and service.
QualificationsMinimum 1 year of recent experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Settlement Specialist, Closing Specialist, Reductions Specialist, or similar role within a Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Experience independently negotiating:
Hospital liensHospital billsMedical provider balancesMedical billsSettlement reductionsExperience managing settlement reductions from intake through resolution.
Experience preparing or reviewing settlement statements.
Experience handling settlement disbursements.
Experience managing multiple active settlement files simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Miami Lakes.
Preferred QualificationsExperience using Litify.
Experience using Salesforce.
Experience working in a high-volume Plaintiff Personal Injury practice.
Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
