With more than 40 years of defense litigation and appellate experience, our law firm has grown to be one of Florida's most recognizable law firms for insurance companies, self-insured businesses and government agencies in need of legal representation. What We Are Looking For We are currently seeking a professional and motivated Defense Workers' Compensation attorney to join our team. This opportunity is designed for a recently graduated-barred attorney eager to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will bedetail oriented, team player, organized, excellent writing and grammar skills, as well as good interpersonal skills. Duties Represent and defend employers and insurance carriers/servicing agents in their Workers' Compensation cases Conduct discovery and participate in motions, depositions, mediations and hearings Draft and review legal documents Collaborate with partners to develop litigation case strategies Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsels Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed to practice in Florida and in good standing with The Florida Bar 0 to 3 years of legal experience (internship or clinic experience in Workers' Compensation preferred) Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines Benefits Competitive salary depending on experience Paid Bar dues and CLE credits 401(k) Health insurance Vision and Dental insurance Paid time off
