Job Description

The law firm based out of Marietta, GA with 8 locations across the United States. We believe in quality legal representation and are dedicated to providing the best legal services and personalized attention to each and every one of our clients. We are seeking an Associate Attorney for our growing Insurance Defense practice in Marietta, GA. The responsibilities of this position include the full litigation process, including drafting, writing, researching and effective communication with clients, as well as moving cases through the litigation process in accordance with court and client mandated deadlines. We are looking for someone who: Is licensed to practice in Georgia Has 5+ years of Insurance defense experience Polished and a skilled communicator Self-starter, can prioritize workload and have a strong work ethic What will your day look like: Draft pleadings, motions, & settlement agreements (Answers, Third-Party Complaints, Cross/Counterclaims, discovery (requests and responses), motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, subpoenas for deposition, etc.) Review, analyze, and summarize discovery and conduct fact investigations for file management and drafting updates to clients. Communicate with clients, opposing parties, experts, and non-parties. Prepare clients for, defend, and take depositions. Prepare for, attend, and participate in Mediations. Conduct Legal Research on variety of issues relevant to case(s).
