Job Description:
We are currently seeking a full-time attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess proficient writing skills with meticulous attention to detail, and exhibit excellent communication skills. While prior experience in failure to pay rent court matters is desirable, it is not a strict requirement as we are willing to train the right candidate. The role entails regular court appearances, case research, document review, drafting documents such as motions and notices, and monitoring and reviewing upcoming and recent laws affecting the landlord and property management industry. Additionally, the candidate must be willing and able to drive to multiple court locations within Maryland as part of their responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients and provide regular status reports Handle court appearances on a consistent basis. Conduct thorough case research Draft motions, notices, and other legal documents as required Monitor and review upcoming and recent laws affecting the property management industry Drive to multiple court locations within Maryland as needed.
Job Requirements:
Maryland Licensed Attorney in good standing with the Maryland State Bar Association Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to manage large caseloads and regularly handle court appearances
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in landlord/tenant court matters is preferred but not mandatory
