Learn more about our team and culture on EcoVadis careers page. Job Description As a key member of the EcoVadis Legal Team, the Legal Counsel Expert reports to the Head of Legal. You will provide legal support for transactional, compliance, and governance matters, acting as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders across the organization. Scope of duties and responsibilities Provide legal advice, serving as lead lawyer on legal requests Provide legal guidance on contract risks and commercial solutions, helping Sales team identify appropriate approaches while balancing business objectives and legal requirements Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, contract addenda, NDAs, termination letters and other customer - facing document Maintain contract templates, oversee internal approval workflows, and collaborate with insurance brokers on contractual endorsements Provide ongoing training and training sessions to the Americas Sales Team on legal matters Monitor regulatory developments impacting EcoVadis business, assess potential implications and risks, and provide timely updates and recommendations on actions needed to address upcoming requirements Collaborate on the adoption and integration of AI-powered legal technology tools to streamline contract review processes and improve workflow efficiency Coordinate external legal counsel support Perform other duties as reasonably needed and directed by Senior Management Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an American Bar Association accredited law school 10 years of experience as a U.S. practicing transactional lawyer, including at least 3 years of SaaS negotiations Active license to practice law in the United States Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, negotiation and contract drafting skills, including the ability to correspond professionally and be approachable with legal advice tailored appropriately to the audience, both across EcoVadis and with contracting counterparty legal representatives
