Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support multiple practice areas, including office organization, family law, and litigation. The Paralegal will be responsible for completing any tasks given by the attorney's as well as anticipating the needs of the case and clients and working independently with minimal supervision. The Paralegal must have prior experience in the legal field and the ability to hit the ground running. The Paralegal will ideally be able to step into this role with minimal training. Duties Assist attorneys with case management across various practice areas such as family law, and litigation preparation. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, court documents, and correspondence. Manage document review and case file organization using document management systems like mycase and eCourts. Support litigation processes through document review, filing court documents accurately and timely, and maintaining case calendars. Perform data entry and maintain meticulous records of client information, case details, and legal documentation. Coordinate interviews with clients or witnesses as needed for case development. Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, and organizing meetings. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, transcription, proofreading, and general clerical duties to ensure efficient office operations. Skills Independently anticipate the needs of the case and attorneys and prepare all cases for litigation and hearing. Strong knowledge and willingness to learn various legal practice areas including e family law, personal injury law, torts, and other areas of law. Proficiency in Word, Excel, mycase, eCourts portal, and other computer based databases. Experience with legal case management software like mycase; familiarity with document management systems is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence. Effective proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all legal materials. Sound interviewing skills for gathering information from clients or witnesses. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly with high professional standards. Clerical experience including data entry, filing systems, document review, transcription services, and administrative support functions. Exceptional phone etiquette combined with excellent organizational skills to coordinate schedules and manage communications efficiently. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
