Job Description

Partner- Labor and Employment This opportunity is presented by Friday Workforce Solutions, the trusted staffing partner for leading law firms seeking highly qualified legal professionals to propel their growth and expansion. Labor & Employment Partner | North Carolina You have built a strong practice. Now you may be considering whether your current firm is still the right place to continue growing it. Friday Workforce Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a national management-side labor and employment firm expanding its presence across North Carolina. The firm is interested in speaking with partner-level attorneys who have a working, partial, or established portable book of business and are looking for a platform that offers greater autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility. Attorneys may be based anywhere in North Carolina. The firm welcomes practices that complement its broader workplace-law platform, including:
  • Labor and employment litigation
  • Employment advice, counseling, and workplace training
  • Traditional labor law
  • OSHA and workplace safety
  • ERISA and employee benefits
  • Executive compensation
  • Workers compensation
  • Other employer-focused practices Why Consider a Different Platform?
This may be a strong fit for a partner who wants the freedom to develop their practice without sacrificing access to sophisticated resources or experienced colleagues. The culture is professional but approachable. Attorneys work hard and take their responsibilities to clients seriously, but they do not take themselves too seriously. Egos are checked at the door, and the firm looks for good people first: accomplished attorneys who treat colleagues and staff with respect, collaborate generously, and contribute positively to the culture. Smart-casual office attire is common when court or client commitments do not require otherwise.
Partners also have opportunities to:
  • Maintain autonomy over their practice and client relationships
  • Collaborate with attorneys across offices and complementary practice areas
  • Expand their work through internal relationships and referrals
  • Access the resources of an established national platform
  • Pursue community involvement that is personally meaningful to them
  • Explore a structure that may provide greater flexibility and a more sustainable balance Who the Firm Would Like to Meet The firm is open to partners with a working, partial, or full portable book of business.
The size and composition of the practice will be considered individually, along with the attorneys goals, geographic market, client needs, and potential alignment with the firm. Compensation Anticipated base compensation ranges from $175,000 to $450,000, depending on portable business, historical collections, experience, practice mix, and anticipated billable contribution. Total compensation may exceed this range through origination credit and bonus potential for billable hours above the standard annual expectation of 1,600 hours. Compensation will be structured individually based on the partners practice and goals. All conversations will be handled confidentially. Interested in Learning More?
