Personal Injury Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing law firm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience specifically practicing personal injury law and be comfortable managing cases from inception through settlement and/or trial. Personal injury experience is a MUST. Candidates without substantial personal injury litigation experience will not be considered. The attorney will be responsible for independently managing a caseload, communicating directly with clients, evaluating claims, negotiating with insurance carriers and defense counsel, and developing cases toward favorable resolution. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement and/or trial. Analyze liability, damages, medical records, and insurance coverage. Conduct client interviews and maintain regular communication with clients. Review and analyze medical records, bills, reports, and other supporting documentation. Prepare and respond to discovery demands and other litigation documents. Conduct depositions, including plaintiff, defendant, and non-party depositions. Attend court conferences, appearances, hearings, and other litigation proceedings. Negotiate settlements with insurance companies, defense attorneys, and other parties. Prepare settlement demands and evaluate settlement offers. Develop case strategy based on liability, damages, medical evidence, and applicable law. Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, medical providers, and other members of the legal team. Maintain accurate and timely case notes, deadlines, and documentation. Identify potential issues involving liens, subrogation, insurance coverage, and settlement. Communicate effectively with clients and provide clear explanations regarding case status and strategy. Meet firm deadlines, productivity expectations, and case-management requirements. Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials when necessary. Required Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York State Bar. Minimum of 4-5 years of specific personal injury law experience —

Strong knowledge of New York personal injury law and civil litigation procedures. Demonstrated experience handling personal injury cases independently. Experience with depositions, discovery, negotiations, and court appearances. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage a significant caseload while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Professional, confident, and client-focused demeanor. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction accidents, and other negligence claims. Experience negotiating substantial personal injury settlements. Trial experience is a strong plus. Experience handling cases involving complex medical treatment and significant damages. Familiarity with case management software and electronic litigation systems.
