Paduano & Weintraub LLP is a sophisticated boutique law firm headquartered in Rockefeller Center. We seek a junior associate for our growing practice in employment defense litigation, counseling and mergers and acquisition support.Job Description:
We seek a talented and motivated junior attorney with one to three years of experience to join our Labor & Employment Group. This role offers hands-on training, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior attorneys.Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of employment defense litigation, including factual investigation, drafting position statements and pleadings, discovery, motion practice and hearings.
- Support case management and day-to-day litigation activities.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, correspondence, and legal documents.
- Support counseling of clients on employment-related issues.
- Assist in drafting employment policies, agreements, and training materials.
- Provide support on M&A matters, including employment diligence.
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategy and client matters.
Qualifications:
- Excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to practice in New York
- One to three years of experience (law firm experience preferred)
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple assignments
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
