Job Description
Summary of Role:
Staff Attorney to work with legal team in contract drafting, revisions and negotiations for complex contracts, primarily focused on supplier side contracts in support of the global procurement organization. In addition, there will be tasks supporting other GlobalFoundries U.S. facility related agreements/programs, including utility, real estate & EHS; state and federal government contract/grant compliance; and litigation matters. Finally, all GF attorneys support compliance and regulatory matters requiring legal review.Essential Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, and privileges of the organization. Provide legal advice, drafting, strategy and negotiations on multiple forms of contracts. Represent the organization to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies. Provide legal advice on compliance with existing contracts and programs, including government contracts, utility/energy/real estate and other organizational programs. Provide resolution of business or technical issues by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action. Examine legal data for strategy on lawsuitsOther Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Other duties as assigned by manager.Required Qualifications:
Current Bar Admission in the US, preferably New York. Experience- Minimum 4 years in field.
Skills:
Contract drafting, negotiation, strong planning & organizational skills, strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex matters for a broad business audience, risk management/evaluation, fluency in Microsoft O365 Project management skills- i.e., the ability to innovate solutions on complex issues and execute programs that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity, build teams across multiple functions to close deals for senior management. Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to review and complete complex transactions efficiently, balancing and managing business expectations with legal and regulatory compliance objectives and risk mitigation. Extensive experience in providing legal advice to business clients. Highly skilled and proven negotiator; detail oriented. Expected Salary Range $107,000.00- $178,000.
