ACQC's Legal Services Program represents clients in a wide range of civil matters including housing, social security disability, HRA public benefits, immigration, and advance directives. Position Overview ACQC seeks a Part-time Immigration Staff Attorney with experience to provide direct representation to immigration clients. Must have experience in representing clients in immigration court and be able to independently handle immigration matters from intake through resolution. Must possess excellent organizational & time-management skills. Provide legal representation and assistance for a range of cases, including: Citizenship Green card applications and renewals Asylum Assistance in filling out immigration forms Deportation and removal Required Qualifications Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction in good standing, preferably NYS. Minimum 2 years' immigration law experience. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required. Client-centered approach to representation; motivated to represent a diverse clientele. Must have excellent research, writing, advocacy and organizational skills. Fluency to communicate in English and Spanish preferred. Must be able to convey sensitivity and non-judgement in all communications. The immigration Attorney is a part-time, exempt position based in Richmond Hill, Queens. The ideal candidate will be passionate about assisting individuals and families navigate the complex legal immigration process.
