Job Description

Description We are seeking an attorney to join a growing law firm in the Dayton, Ohio area, focusing on estate planning and probate. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients on estate plans and guide them through probate and estate administration. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters while providing responsive, compassionate client service.
Responsibilities:
  • Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies, including the preparation and review of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
  • Represent clients in probate proceedings and support the administration of estates from initial filings through final resolution.
  • Meet with clients to understand personal and financial circumstances, explain legal options, and recommend practical solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Draft, revise, and file legal documents accurately while ensuring compliance with applicable court procedures and state requirements.
  • Coordinate case activity across several active matters at once, maintaining deadlines, documentation, and communication with clients and relevant parties.
  • Work closely with colleagues and support staff to deliver efficient legal services and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. Requirements
  • Licensed attorney in good standing and authorized to practice law.
  • At least 1 year of experience handling estate planning, probate matters, or a combination of both.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of estate planning documents and probate procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for advising clients and preparing legal documentation.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced law firm setting.
