Job Description

Our firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a strong litigation practice within a respected, multi-state law firm. The ideal candidate will have some experience with insurance coverage or a strong interest in developing expertise in insurance coverage assignments and coverage litigation. Candidates with broader civil litigation or insurance defense experience are encouraged to apply. The Opportunity Handle a variety of insurance defense and coverage matters. Assist with insurance coverage assignments and coverage litigation. Work on professional liability and construction defect matters. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Participate in discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and other stages of litigation. Work closely with experienced attorneys while taking increasing responsibility for your matters. Develop strong relationships with clients and insurance professionals. Build a broad litigation skill set with opportunities for continued professional growth. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the Arizona state bar. 1-3 years of litigation experience. Insurance defense or insurance coverage experience is preferred, but not required. Strong interest in insurance coverage work and coverage litigation. Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines. Motivated to develop as a litigator and build a long-term career with the firm.
