Civil Litigation Defense Position Overview A well-established, multi-office law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing Irvine office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated litigation matters while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of cases while working alongside experienced litigators. Key Responsibilities Manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution or trial. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and other litigation-related documents. Conduct and defend depositions. Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences. Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial strategy. Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes. Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis on complex litigation issues. Qualifications Active membership in the California State Bar. 1+ years of civil litigation experience preferred. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances. Ability to independently manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
