Job Description
Empath Health is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance and trusted counsel across a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare organization. Reporting to senior leadership, this role advises on healthcare regulatory matters, corporate transactions, compliance initiatives, operational issues, and risk management strategies. The Associate General Counsel will collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to support business objectives while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This is a remote position with occasional travel required approximately 4-6 times per year . While Florida Bar membership is preferred, qualified candidates licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction who are eligible to obtain Florida Authorized House Counsel status are encouraged to apply. What you'll Do Provide legal counsel on healthcare regulatory, compliance, operational, and corporate matters. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts, agreements, and business transactions. Advise leadership on legal risks and develop practical, business-focused solutions. Support organizational compliance with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations. Assist with governance, policy development, investigations, and dispute resolution matters.
