ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Confidential Litigation Firm | Oklahoma City About the Opportunity A well-established litigation-focused law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Oklahoma City practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful hands-on litigation experience, exposure to the courtroom, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on complex and high-impact matters. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney who enjoys litigation, is comfortable taking ownership of assignments, and is eager to continue developing as a trial lawyer. Key Responsibilities Manage assigned litigation matters from case intake through resolution, with appropriate supervision and support. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents. Participate in discovery, including document review, written discovery, depositions, and preparation of discovery strategy. Assist with case development and litigation strategy through factual investigation, evidence analysis, and legal research. Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Work closely with senior attorneys on trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibits, evidentiary issues, and courtroom strategy. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other parties as appropriate. Evaluate claims, defenses, damages, liability, and settlement considerations. Negotiate with opposing counsel and assist in resolving matters efficiently and favorably for clients. Maintain organized case files and meet court deadlines and other applicable procedural requirements. Take increasing ownership of matters as experience and proficiency develop. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Oklahoma, or eligibility for admission to the Oklahoma Bar. 2 plus years of legal experience preferred , particularly experience involving litigation. Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, or trial preparation is highly valued. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities. Professional judgment, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced litigation environment. Demonstrated interest in developing a long-term career as a litigator.
