We are seeking a growth-centric, excellence-focused Corporate Counsel to join our team. Ideal candidates will be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Texas Headquarters in Arlington (typically onsite Tues/Wed/Thurs and remote Mon/Fri). Job Purpose The Corporate Counsel supports the legal team at Great American Media under the supervision of the Deputy General Counsel. This is a full-time attorney role for a lawyer with 1-3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an in-house legal department, who will assist with corporate, commercial, compliance, and general legal matters. Duties and Responsibilities Assists the legal and executive teams with research and analysis on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory developments. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates distribution, commercial, vendor, marketing, talent, and other agreements and legal documents to minimize risk and protect the company's legal rights. Supports litigation, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and pre-dispute matters, including coordination with outside counsel; assists with corporate and organizational structure matters. Conducts legal research; identifies, evaluates, and helps mitigate legal risks in day-to-day business operations. Assists with cross-functional legal matters under senior counsel supervision and performs other projects and duties as assigned. Builds positive working relationships with internal business stakeholders and provides practical, business-oriented legal support under appropriate supervision. Collaborates effectively as part of the legal team and contributes to a positive team environment. Monitors and summarizes relevant legislative, regulatory, and industry changes for the legal and executive teams. Perform other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably Texas, in good standing. 1-3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an in-house legal department; law firm experience with corporate, commercial, media, entertainment, or comparable matters will also be considered. Working knowledge of corporate, commercial, compliance, and general business law; strong analytical, research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills; and high professional ethics and discretion.
