Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience handling nursing home, long-term care, healthcare facility, and wrongful death matters who is passionate about advocating for vulnerable individuals and their families.
The successful candidate will independently manage a caseload from inception through trial while working closely with support staff, experts, and fellow attorneys to maximize client outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage elder abuse and related litigation matters from pre-suit through trialDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal briefsConduct and defend depositionsAttend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials throughout CaliforniaReview and analyze medical records, facility records, and related evidenceCollaborate with expert witnesses and litigation support professionalsDevelop litigation strategy and case valuation assessmentsPrepare pre-trial filings, witness materials, and trial exhibitsWork closely with paralegals, case managers, and support staffMaintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developmentsAdvocate aggressively while maintaining exceptional client service standardsQualificationsActive membership in good standing with the California State BarSignificant litigation experience with the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseloadExperience handling plaintiff-side elder abuse, neglect, and wrongful death mattersExperience litigating claims involving nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare providersFamiliarity with elder abuse statutes and related claims involving:
