Family Law Paralegal Location:
Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | Hybrid Join a Respected Family Law Team A well-established and respected law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients in a fast-paced environment and wants to play an important role in supporting family law matters from start to finish. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while providing exceptional service to clients. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys handling family law matters Interact professionally with attorneys, clients, staff, courts, and outside professionals Prepare, review, proofread, and organize legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and agreements Prepare and coordinate documents for filing with courts and state agencies Conduct legal research involving statutes, court rules, regulations, judicial decisions, and other legal resources Assist attorneys with legal research, due diligence, and preparation of written summaries or analysis Interview clients and expert witnesses and prepare detailed summaries of statements and relevant information Summarize, organize, and maintain case records and documents within the firm's document management system Collect and organize exhibits and verify citations and supporting documentation Coordinate client meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and meeting documentation Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, contracts, and resolutions as appropriate Monitor deadlines, develop project timelines, and proactively anticipate attorneys' needs Maintain accurate time entries and documentation of services provided Utilize family law and practice group-specific software and technology Provide general administrative and billing support, including correspondence, mailings, file retrieval, payment processing, and email management Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client and case information Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and shared-services teams to ensure matters are handled efficiently and professionally What We're Looking For Previous paralegal experience; family law experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court filings Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong legal research, writing, proofreading, and document management skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Professional demeanor and strong client-service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology/software Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Paralegal certificate or relevant education/experience preferred Why Consider This Opportunity?
