Walnut Creek team of dedicated respected family law attorneys seeks a full-time litigation paralegal to join their team. Our office is located in Walnut Creek and serves the entire Bay Area. Qualifications The ideal candidate is someone who has family law experience, enjoys complex litigation, and is motivated by the learning experiences involved in these cases. Strong communication and client service skills. Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases. Legal drafting experience (judicial council forms, client declarations, etc.). Technical skills, including previous experience with case management software. Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience. Spanish-speaking is a big plus but not required. Responsibilities Drafting and filing of litigation documents including: pleadings, discovery responses and demands, motions, and memorandums of points and authorities. Communicating with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases. Managing assigned cases to ensure deadlines are being met, client emails are being answered, and tasks are being completed in a timely manner. Conducting legal research and factual investigation. Setting up cases for trial including preparation of trial binders and exhibits. Performing administrative functions for the attorneys as needed, including calendaring hearings and deadlines, and answering phones.

PAY AND BENEFITS

The position pays $60,000-$110,000 (depending on years of paralegal experience and skill), discretionary bonuses, paid holidays, eligibility for health insurance benefits and 401(k). The firm also pays for approved continuing education. We will provide details, terms and conditions at the interview. The role will be a hybrid role upon completion of a 90-day in-office probationary period, with 2-3 days/week in-office required. Please provide a current resume and writing samples, if available.
