MIGRA 411

is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join our growing legal team. This is a primarily remote position with required in-office hours as needed . Candidates must be able and willing to report to the office when required. This is not a fully remote position. The attorney will focus primarily on removal defense before the Immigration Court (EOIR) , including detained and non-detained cases. We are looking for an attorney who is organized, responsible, proactive, comfortable managing a caseload, and committed to providing professional and compassionate representation to immigrant clients and their families. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred. Compensation $90,000 per year Responsibilities Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts. Prepare for and appear at Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings. Conduct client meetings and case-preparation sessions. Review immigration records, procedural history, and supporting evidence. Develop case strategy in coordination with the legal team. Prepare and review motions, briefs, legal arguments, and other court filings. Handle matters involving asylum and other forms of relief from removal. Communicate directly with clients and their families regarding case preparation, hearings, deadlines, and case developments. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely case notes. Monitor court orders, filing deadlines, and follow-up requirements. Work closely with assigned paralegals and other members of the legal team. Follow MIGRA 411's internal procedures, case-management protocols, and quality standards. Attend required meetings, trainings, and in-office work hours. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree. Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Experience or demonstrated knowledge in Immigration Law, particularly removal defense. Ability to represent clients before EOIR. Strong legal research, writing, and case-analysis skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple cases, hearings, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong client communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment while collaborating with a legal team. Reliable internet connection and appropriate remote-work environment. Ability to report to the office when required. Preferred Qualifications Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred. Experience representing clients before Immigration Court/EOIR. Experience with asylum and withholding of removal. Experience with detained immigration cases and bond proceedings. Experience preparing and litigating Individual Hearings. Experience with Master Calendar Hearings, motions, and other removal-defense matters. Prior criminal law experience is a plus. Benefits Primarily remote work arrangement.
