Responsibilities Conduct legal research and translate findings into practical recommendations that support business and compliance decisions. Review, draft, and revise contracts, agreements, and legal documents that enable business objectives while helping manage risk. Support policy and procedure development that strengthens compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness. Analyze legal and regulatory developments and assist in evaluating potential impacts to the organization. Partner with attorneys and business stakeholders on projects that improve processes, solve problems, and advance strategic priorities. Develop a deeper understanding of healthcare, corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters through exposure to a variety of legal issues and business functions. Build professional relationships through networking, mentoring, and collaboration with legal and business leaders across the enterprise. Qualifications Required Completion of at least one year of law school prior to the internship start date. Currently enrolled in an accredited Juris Doctor (J.D.) program and in good academic standing. Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally. Ability to exercise sound judgment and evaluate issues within a broader business context. Collaborative work style, intellectual curiosity, and a growth mindset. Ability to use technology and AI-enabled tools responsibly to enhance productivity, research, and analysis. Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher. Interest in healthcare law, compliance, privacy, regulatory affairs, or corporate law. Prior internship, externship, research assistant, or other legal-related experience. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or legal research platforms. Demonstrated leadership, initiative, or involvement in student, professional, or community organizations.
