Trial Attorney Aliso Viejo, CA Full-TimeHybrid$150,000 - $200,000 /yr Posted July 27, 2026 We are a top 125 Nationwide law firm seeking an accomplished Trial Attorney with proven first chair trial experience to join our growing Orange County office. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned trial attorney who thrives in the courtroom and is looking to handle high exposure, complex matters while working alongside a team of highly respected legal professionals. The Trial Attorney will take a lead role in managing and trying complex civil litigation matters from inception through verdict. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of serving as first chair counsel, exceptional courtroom presence, and the ability to develop case strategies that drive successful outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities Serve as first chair counsel in civil litigation matters, including jury and bench trials. Develop and execute comprehensive litigation and trial strategies. Handle all aspects of case management from initial evaluation through trial and appeal, as needed. Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses. Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive depositions. Lead trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial presentation. Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and court hearings. Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risks while providing strategic advice to clients. Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and litigation support staff. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar. 5+ years of civil litigation experience. Demonstrated first chair trial experience with favorable outcomes. Extensive experience handling depositions, motion practice, and courtroom appearances. Strong command of trial procedure, evidence, and courtroom advocacy. Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to manage complex, high stakes litigation independently. Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
